GNSS Technology for Precise Positioning in CCAM: A Comparative Evaluation of Services

Cooperative, connected, and automated mobility (CCAM) can lead to a significantly improved transport system by increasing safety efficiency, reducing emissions. To achieve the goal of fully self-driving vehicles, accurate reliable positioning is essential. Positioning methods in CCAM often use sensor fusion combining data from multiple sensors with Global navigation satellite (GNSS) data. In this paper, we focus on status GNSS technology investigating position accuracies integrities different state-of-the-art technologies. We conduct field tests using vehicle Drammen, Norway. Three types services are explored, reference trajectory delivered vehicle’s used determine performance each service. show that alone does not fulfill requirements needed obtain mobility. Moreover, observe general decreasing trend accuracy for more challenging surroundings.
